How long does the result of lifting last?

Usually it lasts between 8 to 10 years, but when patients maintain good hydration and healthy eating, the results can last much longer.

Would there remain marks / visible scars?

The scars remain behind the preauricular (ears), retroauricular (behind the ears) and prefolicular (in the hairline) lines, which start minimizing trough time if the patient has good cicatrization.

When can I go back to work?

Recovery depends on each patient. In our experience, after 10 to 15 days of the procedure you can return to your daily activities.

Can there be bruises?

Yes, it is usual in those patients who have been taking vitamin E or aspirin. Otherwise is difficult that hematomas occur.

Can I be swollen after surgery?

Yes, it is normal and it gradually disappears. We recommend taking arnica, in the previous days of your surgery.

Can there be infection?

Yes, but is extremely rare that occurs in the face. We always use antibiotics before, during and after surgery.

Can there be nervous or sensitive injuries?

Yes, although it is not frequent. And usually, when it happens, it disappears in the course of days.

What is necrosis?

It is the death of tissue (skin) because there is not enough blood reaching the tissues, due to a decrease of blood vessels. It is very common in smokers. Therefore we recommend to stop smoking from 20 to 30 days before and after surgery.
